House Parties

  • The Ball Room. This is a stunning dining room that can also be used for dancing. The Ball Room can sit up to 36 guests at four tables or up to 20 guests at the table seen in this picture.
  • Treat yourself to a beauty treatment or massage in our Spa.
  • The croquet lawn
  • Mrs Thorneycroft's Bedroom (36 sq m). A large and delightful room with views on two sides to the gardens. This bedroom has an ensuite bathroom.
  • The Drawing Room. Entertain your guests for pre dinner drinks in our stunning Drawing Room or simply relax by the fire, play cards and read the papers.
  • The Library. Relax by the fire, read the papers, watch TV or use our complimentary PC and printer in the Library.

  • The Guest Kitchen. One of the most beautiful kitchens to relax in. It is also fully equipped so that you can cater for any meal. The kitchen has a TV, sound system and an Aga. This kitchen is solely for the use of our guests. Our staff can work away in our other staff kitchen, meaning we won't disturb you whilst we prepare your next gourmet meal!

TRADITIONAL WEEKEND HOUSE PARTIES

Hillhouse can sleep up to 20 of your family and friends in its ten bedrooms. Make a weekend of it and enjoy the stunning surroundings and luxurious and elegant rooms, eat delicious food, treat yourselves to fine wines and more importantly spend more time with your friends.

FOR LARGER PARTIES

If you have a slightly larger celebration in mind we have a solution.

We can host slightly larger yet intimate parties for up to 36 guests within the house. The Drawing Room, Dining Room and Ball Room are perfect rooms for an elegant and intimate party.

For larger parties of 40 - 350 guests, we can erect a range of stunning marquees within our stunning walled garden, each one personal to our client's wishes.
