Elegant Reception Rooms

Drawing Room. The main Drawing Room is a classical room for more formal parts of an evening. It is perfect for relaxing in and talking amongst friends whilst enjoying a drink in front of the roaring fire. The Drawing Room is equipped with a state of the art sound system which is hidden from view enabling guests to listen to music of their choice whilst they relax.

Library. The Library is a less formal room for watching TV or reading in. The library is equipped with a 40'' plasma screen, DVD player with surround sound and a full satellite TV package.

Study. Another less formal room equipped with a TV linked to a full satellite package and guest computer linked to the internet. The computer is also connected to a printer so that guests can print of documents at their convenience.

Main Dining Room. This Dining Room can sit up to 18 and is a beautiful room. It is perfect for dinner and lunch parties. This room can also be used as a high end conference venue with a 50'' wall mounted screen making power point presentations possible. When in Dining Room mode the screen is hidden by a unique electrically operated false picture frame and canvas - you would never know the screen was there. The room also has wifi.

East Wing Dining Room. This is used for smaller dinner parties or for breakfast when the early morning sun streams in through the windows.

Billiards Room. Try a game of snooker or billiards on our full size table or if you like try the action packed game of freda with all your friends after dinner. The room also has a 50'' plasma screen, DVD, full satellite package and an amazing surround sound system.

Ball Room. This a larger room which can be used for dancing in – perhaps a bit of Scottish reeling. It can also be used for larger dinner or lunch parties and can sit 24 on one large table or up to 50 on 5 round tables.

Guest Kitchen.At Hillhouse we offer guests their own private kitchen for making snacks or cups of tea and coffee at their own will. Many people find kitchens a warm and friendly room and this is no exception. The kitchen has a sound system, satellite TV and DVD.
